Thermoweld Quality
Weld copper to copper or copper to steel
No outside power is required,
uses thermoweld exothermic process
(high temperature reaction of powdered copper oxide
and aluminium)
Control voltage: 240V / 110Vac
Special starters (Soft starter / VFD) are also available. Just consult Asiaphil - Sales Department
Reaction takes place in a semi-
permanent graphite mold
(mold last for about fifty or more welds with proper care)
Requires very little time or skill to
obtain an efficient, maintenance free
connection
Thermoweld is a molecular weld and ensures the following:
Connections will not be affected by a high
current surge. Test have shown that the
electrical conductor will melt before the
thermoweld connection when subjected to
high short circuit current. Consult to IEEE Std 837.
Connections will not loosen or corrode at
the point of weld. There are no contact
surfaces or mechanical pressures involved.
A thermoweld connection becomes an integral
part of the conductor.
Connections have a current-carrying capacity
equal to or greater than that of the conductors.
