Recognizing these cooperatives' vital role in providing efficient, reliable, and affordable power distribution in the countryside, HOPE develops and offers financing packages specifically for them. The assistance may be for turnkey projects or for upgrades on existing capability, and comes in the form of a Build-Lease-Transfer package solution amortized over a specified timeframe.

HOPE offers eight packages, giving the electric cooperatives a variety of choices to suit their needs and bridging access to quality equipment that would otherwise have been beyond their reach. These packages are as follows: Substation Solution; Power Transformers; 69kV Primary Metering; Primary Protection; Medium-Voltage Solution; 69kV Transmission Line; Leasing of Hotline Tools; and Systems Loss Reduction Equipment. HOPE has brought these solutions to several areas around the country, including Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Batangas, Zambales, Camarines Norte, Sorsogon, Southern Leyte, Cotabato, and Zamboanga. Over the period 2003-2008, some 42 electric cooperatives have availed of HOPE substation packages, with installed capacity totaling 265 MVA. |
